Mark was born and reared in Southern California where he graduated from Loma Linda Academy. Committed to lifelong learning and Christian education, he is also a graduate of Oakwood and La Sierra universities.
After completing his undergraduate studies at Oakwood, Mark returned to California to pursue a Master’s in Public Administration and to work for the U.S. Senate for 9 years. However, feeling a call to go into full-time pastoral ministry, he returned to the classroom in order to be prepared for any doors God might open.
Mark got his start in ministry serving on the pastoral staff at the Perris 5th Street Church in Perris, California. He has had the pleasure of serving on the chaplain’s staff at La Sierra University and most recently the pastoral staff at the Sunnyvale Church. Mark previously served on the Pacific Union Conference Executive Committee and is grateful for the current opportunity to serve as the Associate Executive Secretary for the Central California Conference. On a lighter note, he is an avid fan of the Lakers, Dodgers, and Cowboys, and enjoys playing the saxophone whenever he gets a chance. Excited to be at Sunnyside, he looks forward to seeing what God is going to do here.
